Back to Life in Toronto — A Week in Canada
I spent a week at Toronto and then spending one more day at Niagara fall. I had been to Toronto and Niagara fall before. This time is somewhat different. I actually tried to unplug from the computer.
At the beginning of the trip, I did try to check email and did some testing for a customer. However, by the third day of vacation I decided I should just let it go — as it let others to fill in the gap as planned. Work is work. Getting recharge and spending all my focus on the family should have been my priority.
For the duration of my vacation, we spent a fair amount of walking around, taking public transportation to go everywhere. We went to CN Tower, aquarium, museum… On the day before leaving Toronto, we paid a visit to the CNE. Open-air concerts at the Bandshell, evening music echoing into the cool late-summer breeze. The smell of cotton candy, funnel cakes, and warm roasted Mexican corn cutting through the outdoor air. A fair amount of rides, a ton of food options. Like we are back to stone ages where we just simply walking around, eating around, commenting how terrible the food… The next night we caught BTS near Rogers Stadium and Ed Sheeran at Rogers Centre. All simply life, no computer.
We are in the rat race. We always thought we need to keep running to give the kids the best possible food options and best tutor in person. However I think the kids learn more when we are actually engaged together and just simply walking around to visit places.
I learn from working around with them and spending time with family. At the end, they are my toughest customers.
